Fourth Quarter - Crunch Time!
Yep it's been a while. But don't worry...I'm still here! Well it's the 4th quarter of the year and if this were a sporting event, it'd be crunch time. Time to pull out all the stops in a major push to gain or keep the lead. Life really isn't much different than sports so with that said let's talk about knowledge. Have you made significant effort to acquire vast amounts of new knowledge this year? How many books have you read, excluding reading to your child at night?
Today, as we are voting for the office of President of the United States of America, have you been blaming the government for all of your problems and road blocks? I don't believe that one man/woman has that much control over any of us. There's so much knowledge all around us for free. Awareness, listening, and comprehension is the real key to gaining knowledge. I was at a friend's home a few days ago and we were discussing our views of online college courses. Through this conversation I found out that some of the nation's top schools such as Harvard, MIT, Berkley, and Oxford are now offering free online classes. Yes, you read that right. No, they don't count toward a degree from these schools, but haven't you always thought of things you would do if you had the money? Well for these course you don't need money. A few hundred thousand people have already signed up. Yes, the internet is full of all types of scams, porn and predators; but don't let that overshadow the wealth of good opportunies for knowledge, careers, and even love. I'm out of breath #yeahwhathesaid!
